Putting the Spotlight on Diverse Cultural Experiences in MSP

MAKE IT. MSP has been working to expand the MSP Cultural Spotlights series and is excited to announce the launch of a newly refreshed digital resource!

We all want to feel supported and connected within our communities, especially when moving to a new neighborhood or city. Getting connected with each other is a critical way to build and sustain community, and this tool was created to make it easier for folks to find community-based amenities that were culturally relevant.

The MSP Cultural Spotlights is a resourceful tool that shares some of the best culturally relevant spaces, places and amenities across the Greater Minneapolis-Saint Paul region (MSP) with a focus on those owned by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). We want folks to be empowered to create new connections in spaces that have celebrated and elevated diverse cultures, and continue to do so in our communities.

The businesses, spaces and places featured in this resource come directly from diverse communities across MSP. Contributions were gathered through MIMSP social media channels, newsletters and submissions from people across the region who shared their favorite amenities here. As this resource grows, we will continue to gather more information from our communities.

Check out snapshots of the categories featured in the new digital MSP Cultural Spotlights, or click on the button below to explore the full resource.
