Paid flights to Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP). VIP Twin Cities Startup Week experience. Networking with 17,000+ entrepreneurs from across the country. Behind the scenes look at the Startup Capital of the North.
It’s all part of the Twin Cities Startup Week Fly-In Program.
People in the Greater Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP) region grow incredible companies by solving the world’s biggest problems. From engineering the pacemaker to inventing the Post-it note, we’re proud of the ways our region and state have used technology to change the world. Here, we turn local startups into global leaders, including 50 Fortune 500 firms that started right here in MSP. Today, we’re still a top startup community according to Forbes + Rise of the Rest.
Twin Cities Startup Week is a celebration of the spirit that’s driving those next big innovations. October 9th through the 16th, creators, risk-takers, and other problem-solvers will gather here to network and share big ideas about what’s next. Lots of them – about 17,000 people attended 200+ events last year alone!
One of the largest free entrepreneurial events in the U.S., Twin Cities Startup Week is about more than just sharing what we’ve accomplished (although there is much to celebrate). It’s about bringing the brightest, most passionate creatives and entrepreneurs together with one goal: change the world, one startup at a time.
The Twin Cities Startup Week Fly-In Program was created to help give people from all corners of the country the opportunity to see this community in full force. The program has led to new jobs, plenty of relocations, new business deals and much more. This year, 50 selected applicants will be reimbursed up to $350 for a plane ticket to MSP International Airport to attend the final weekend of Twin Cities Startup Week. In addition to free Lyft credits, Lime Scooter credits, and Metro Transit passes upon arrival, Fly-In Program participants will have a VIP pass to the entire week including special networking events with top companies.
The hundreds of events happening throughout the week can become a little overwhelming, so we’ll help participants create an itinerary of activities to help make the most of their time in the Twin Cities. Informal meet and greets with employers, panel discussions with some of the hottest startups in the business, happy hours with like-minded peer groups – there’s something for everyone, and we’ll help get you there.
“When I originally heard about the fly-in program I had no idea what it was,” admitted Francene Nguyen, a Merchant Development Manager at Sezzle who later moved to MSP from Silicon Valley after participating in the Twin Cities Startup Week’s Fly-In Program. “So when I first heard about it I looked it up and saw some videos. It looked really cool, and it just exceeded my expectations.”
