Greater MSP is full of social and community oriented groups that organize around common industry, sector, issue, or activity. Others are a local affiliate of a larger organization. Each provides an opportunity to connect with the people that make MSP their home.
The Minneapolis Hub of Global Shapers is one of the many young leader organizations. It’s part of the Global Shapers Community, a network of young people driving dialogue, action and change. With over 350 Hubs and 7000 Shapers around the world, it’s a great way to connect globally and make an impact locally. Minneapolis Global Shapers are currently recruiting extraordinary young or emerging leaders 20-29 to join the community. Global Shapers represent all walks of life but share an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated leadership ability with potential for growth, and a desire to improve the state of the world.
Applicants are expected to have demonstrated leadership potential, which can be defined in various ways. For example, a successful applicant may have taken on a leadership role or organized in their communities, delivered a major project, founded a company or organization, or changed the way an organization does its work. The community values diversity and works to unite people from all backgrounds, fields, and perspectives.
