The Northern Spark festival is a dusk-to-dawn, wonder-filled night on the second Saturday of June in the Twin Cities. Art museums and performance halls are open all night and artists make temporary installations for interaction in the streets. Thousands of people ride their bikes around, marveling at building-high projections and pop-up performances while feeling a sense of belonging amongst friendly strangers.

The 16th Annual Sound Unseen Film & Music Festival. I am Co-Director of this festival and of course have to do a shameless plug! We live in a music town and to have an all films-on-music festival is a no-brainer. Join us Nov. 11-15 at McNally Smith, Amsterdam Bar & Hall, Bedlam Lowertown, Trylon microcinema, and Bryant Lake Bowl!

“The Twin Cities is home to thriving music and performing arts scenes. Minneapolis has more theater seats per capita than any U.S. city outside New York and its famous First Avenue is the sixth most popular music club in the world, based on ticket sales.” – MN.gov
