It’s more than just race, culture, ethnicity, gender, age – while that’s a big part of inclusivity, I think a place where I can be me, make jokes or share serious insights about being me/from my culture without freaking my non-asian, non-recent-immigrant, non-POCI, colleagues and friends out, is what feels the most inclusive. So yeah, the typical markers of diversity, and then also people who have varied backgrounds, come from different places, have experiences being the other, and are interested in learning instead of judging.
