There is a lot to love about MSP.
That’s the truth and here are some facts.
The MSP region houses 1,788 lakes.
There are nine state parks and one national park within the area
MSP’s parks were ranked #1 in the country by Trust for Public Land
We’ve earned the #1 or #2 ranking for health fitness from the American College of Sports Fitness for each of the past 5 years
We have more shoreline than California, Florida and Hawaii combined.
The Mississippi National River and Recreation Area is a 72-mile national park that runs through the region.
A whole lotta water and a whole lot else for people who love basking in the fun of all four seasons. There are fields and parks galore for you to explore in winter, spring, summer and fall—and you won’t be alone while taking in the scenery. Whatever outdoor activity you like, chances are you can do it in MSP. We’re an active bunch of runners, hikers, skiers, golfers, swimmers and bikers—we have an epic biking community. We pedal everywhere, year round. Yes, even in the winter. Are those bikers crazy? No, they’re layered.
